The Milford Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is now in the final stages of completion. Working alongside P+HS Architects and with MTX Contracts Ltd utilising Modern Methods of Construction, we’ve helped accelerate delivery while ensuring a high-quality healthcare environment. With the building’s exterior fully complete, internal works are now wrapping up. External landscaping is almost complete, with only the access road and highway works remaining.
Once operational, this brand new facility will serve as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, delivering an additional 11,000 MRIs and 9,500 CT scans annually—enhancing patient care by streamlining diagnostics into a single appointment.

We took advantage of the good weather to shoot a progress update on the North Rotunda refurbishment 🌞 The North Rotunda was originally built 135 years ago and housed an industrial elevator. This lowered horses, carriages, vehicles, and passengers to a now-disused tunnel under the river Clyde that leads to an identical twin South Rotunda. In this video, we fly over the tunnel towards the South Rotunda.
The new design will see the creation of ‘The Roundhouse’ on the ground floor, and ‘The Rotunda’ on the upper floors while restoring historic features like the cast iron and glass cupola.

We were thrilled to attend the Breaking Ground Ceremony at Overgate Hospice, marking the official start of construction on the new hospice, a project that will transform hospice care in Calderdale for generations to come. With the gift of good weather at the ceremony, we were also able to shoot some drone footage of the ceremony.
The ceremony, led by Tracey Wilcocks (Overgate Chief Executive), was fantastic, highlighting the importance of the Hospice within the Calderdale community and the generosity shown by so many to enable this project to take place. Standing together on the very ground where this vision will come to life was a truly special moment.
Now the ground is broken the hard work continues and, as a team, we are looking forward to continuing our work with the Hospice to deliver the Overgate Hospice Big Build.

We are excited to see as many as a third of the apartments at Woodberry Down are now occupied. We have now been involved in multiple phases of the large scale residential project, which is one of the largest estate regeneration schemes in Europe. Our multidisciplinary team of MEP design experts continue to the development as it becomes an inspiring exemplar of sustainability within the residential sector.
As part of the Low Carbon Transition Plan, DSSR undertook an analysis to provide options for the future introduction of Low Carbon Technologies, accounting for the changing carbon factors associated with different fuel sources. In addition to the dwelling SAP assessment, and non-domestic SBEM calculations required for Approved Document Part L and London Plan compliance, we also undertook CIBSE TM52 Thermal comfort analysis for all Phase 3 flats.
