Hugh Currie

Hugh Currie

Hugh joined the firm over 35 years ago having gained a degree as an electrical engineer and is now Senior Partner, responsible for all aspects of the management and performance of the Firm. He leads the development of the Firm's ongoing business strategy, monitoring the performance of all of DSSR's offices and ensuring that each location, strand and discipline within the business continues to work efficiently, constructively and creatively.  His problem-solving and interpersonal skills, coupled with his clarity of vision, are essential character traits as he seeks to enhance and develop the reputation of DSSR.

Bill Chalmers

Bill Chalmers

Bill, based in the Glasgow office is responsible for the financial and HR aspect for the Firm on a national basis.  He started his career with DSSR in 1980 as an apprentice mechanical engineer, progressing through the firm to become an Equity Partner in 2007.  Over the years Bill has been responsible for large scale engineering, planning and consulting projects throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions to our clients.  He has a keen interest in innovation technologies and this is a key component of his work in ensuring that DSSR continually design efficient and comfortable building environments.

Phil Duffy

Phil Duffy

Phil graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1979 before moving from his native New Zealand to the UK in the early 1980s. He joined DSSR in 1989, progressing to a London Equity Partner in 2006. He has been responsible for the management and delivery of many complex and large projects in a variety of market sectors including Commercial, Transport, Industrial and Healthcare, both in the UK and overseas. His specific responsibility within the firm is Operations & Delivery Partner for the London office and he continues to be actively involved in the technical and financial delivery of many of DSSR's largest projects.

Tony de Caux

Tony de Caux

Tony joined the firm over 30 years ago after completing his degree in building services engineering. His experience in the construction industry ranges from Education, Law & Order, Commercial, Industrial and Transport sectors, including large-scale infrastructure projects.  Tony is also a member of the Business Development Group where his key objectives are to promote the importance of business development within the practice and to promote DSSR within the construction industry, managing relationships with our existing clients.

Mike Singleton

Mike Singleton

Mike started his career with the firm over 27 years ago after completing his degree in mechanical engineering.  Mike is responsible for the development of the Manchester office's involvement in healthcare projects and has been involved in both traditional and PFI projects, both as technical adviser to the client, design leader for the provider, and technical advisor to funders. Mike also represents the engineering services cluster groups at Procure 21 supply chain workshops and plays an active role in the development of the partnering approach to construction.
