Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer

DSSR have an immediate need to recruit a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer for their Manchester Office.  Candidates should have 5+ years’ experience in engineering design and delivery on a wide range of construction projects. Candidates should have a degree in either building services engineering or electrical engineering and REVIT experience is essential.  They should also be proficient in the use of relevant industry design software (i.e. AutoCad, Amtech, Dialux, Relux, Hevacomp etc), .   Candidates must have relevant experience of working within the Building Services Industry and experience of working on healthcare projects is desirable.  Salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.

Electrical Building Services Engineer

Based in Glasgow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Project Engineer to play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion across a number of sectors, including commercial, industrial, education, health and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 to 5+ years’ experience in engineering design and have relevant experience of working within the Building Services Industry.  Candidates should ideally have a degree in either building services engineering or electrical engineering and be proficient in the use of relevant industry design software (i.e. AutoCad, NBS, Amtech etc).  Revit would also be advantageous.  Excellent written and numerical skills along with a positive and flexible attitude are essential requirements of the role. Trainee Mechanical Project Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for a Trainee Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join us in our Glasgow office. This trainee role is ideally suited to a school or college leaver. Working alongside an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineers as part of a team on a wide range projects, our trainees will learn about the Construction Industry and how Building Services play an integral role in the Built Environment . Our trainee scheme provides an opportunity to attain a relevant Engineering Degree from Glasgow Caledonian University on a part time basis whilst developing engineering skills and gaining experience through the work environment.  Progression through our Business can be expected along with achieving a Degree and onward progression to Professional Engineering Status.

No previous experience is required however potential candidates should have either attained or be due to attain Scottish Higher Grade: BBBB (including Maths/Physics/Technological Studies/Engineering Science) and Nat 5: C (English and Maths) if not achieved at Higher level.  The is an excellent opportunity for any young person with a logical / analytical mind, an enthusiasm for problem solving and an interest in the built environment.  University fee’s will be fully funded and salary will be at or above the national living wage for Scotland.

Graduate Engineer

We currently accepting CV’s for Engineering Graduates to join us in our Glasgow office. The Graduate role is in the Mechanical Engineer discipline and will involve working alongside experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineers as part of a team on a wide range projects. Workload will be varied with opportunities to develop your engineer skills and to gain experience to allow progression through our Business and achieve Chartered Engineer Status.

No previous professional experience is required however potential candidates should have either attained or be due to attain a Masters Degree in a relevant Engineering course and have a broad understanding of the construction industry and the role that Building Services Engineers provide.

CAD / BIM Manager

Based in Glasgow, an opportunity has arisen for a Building Services BIM Manager. We are looking for an experienced individual to manage and develop our company CAD and BIM implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the CAD  and Revit / BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement of systems, software, hardware and training for MEP Services CAD / Revit across the group as well as providing technical support to the engineering teams.  This role offers the opportunity to develop skills and experience.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience using AutoCAD / Revit for MEP Services and be proficient in the use of relevant industry design software. Intermediate Building Performance Modeler

We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Performance Modeller in our Glasgow Office to become a part of a growing team.  The successful candidate will be provided with an opportunity to play and active role in the development of our Building Performance Team working on projects across all sectors and over the whole of the UK. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in Building Performance Modelling and be proficient in the use of relevant industry building performance software including the IESVE. As a minimum they should be a CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant, and preferably a CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor. Experience with Domestic Energy Assessment and BREEAM will also be beneficial to this role but are not essential.
