Why DSSR

At DSSR, we place strong value on the relationships we have with our employees.  We recruit staff of all levels of experience that show technical ability, commitment and a desire to become part of our team.  Among our recruits are a great number of graduates and trainees who take part in our ongoing Structured Development Programme.  In many instances, these individuals have stayed with the Company for many years, running projects as senior members of staff.  This is our commitment to career development.

DSSR have also joined “The 5% Club” which is a movement of employers focussed on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices, sponsored students and graduates into the workplace.

Learning and Development

DSSR recognises that providing learning and development opportunities is fundamental if an employee is to progress throughout their chosen career.   Employees are DSSR’s most valuable assets and we aim to provide training and ongoing professional development which provides not only job satisfaction for the employee but also adds value to the services we offer to our clients.  DSSR has a policy of internal promotion wherever possible and employees are encouraged to take increased responsibility in line with business objectives.

DSSR also has links with external education providers across the UK which enables the company to influence the content of the educational programmes.

Work Experience

At DSSR, we understand that work experience exists to form links between education and industry and that it has a key role in improving the employability skills of students and young people.  For this reason, DSSR offers summer placements to students who are studying at University and are keen to enhance their theoretical knowledge with practical work experience as well as school pupils who are considering career options and wish to learn a little more about a particular industry.

Equal Opportunities Employer

DSSR is committed to the policy of equal treatment of all employees and applicants.  The Company’s aim is to recruit, train, promote and reward on the basis of merit whilst providing an inclusive workplace environment which is free from bias.  Building and maintaining the trust of our clients and our colleagues is fundamental to the way we conduct our affairs and we strive to create an open culture in which everyone feels included and respected.

We are guided by our aim to be the employer of choice in the market in which we operate, committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing and development throughout the company.

Corporate Social Responsibility

DSSR strives to be a good corporate citizen, recognising our responsibility to work with our people and the wider community to improve the quality of life of the less fortunate.  DSSR has a history of supporting good causes and charitable events and actively encourages their employees to become involved through their Community Volunteering Scheme.  Volunteering activities not only offer personal development opportunities for the employee but also help to provide a long-term benefit to the wider community and provide sustainable benefits.
