The development, which was designed by Holmes Partnership for Keir Homes, incorporates a strong sustainability agenda with the objective of creating a vibrant, mixed community incorporating a high percentage of flats, terraced houses and generous landscaped public spaces.

The development is located on a 12.5-acre site that was formerly home to the Hawkhead Hospital. The hospital was built in the early 1900s and closed in 2006.
