Overview of the Civil Nuclear Constabulary Training Centre project

This new training facility will allow CNC Operational requirements to support/protect the Civil Nuclear Sites throughout the UK.

The new facility constructed by DSSR meets the high regulatory standards established by the College of Policing and the UK government, ensuring the highest level of safety and security for the firearms training areas. The new four-story hub building is equipped with the latest technologies and equipment, making it a state-of-the-art facility. DSSR played a crucial role in the project by completing the initial Thermal Comfort Assessment. Using IES software, they created a 3D model to produce an energy and sustainability statement for the planning submission.

Furthermore, DSSR provided full M&E duties for the project, ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. Additionally, DSSR was also appointed as the BREEAM Assessor for the project, responsible for evaluating the facility’s sustainability performance against the BREEAM standards. The combination of DSSR’s expertise in thermal comfort assessment, M&E duties, and sustainability assessment makes them a valuable partner in creating state-of-the-art facilities like the new firearms training area.
