Hiring: Senior Building Performance Modelling Engineer
Due to continued growth, we are increasing our Building Performance Modelling team based in our Glasgow office. We would like to hear from candidates who are interested in further developing their career in Building Performance Modelling and Sustainability within the built environment.

Our Building Performance Modelling & Sustainability teams are embedded within our integrated engineering design team, which delivers complete building services engineering solutions for projects of all types.
Working as a key member of our experienced Building Performance Modelling team, you will assist with the development of energy, decarbonisation and sustainability strategies for new-build and existing buildings, supporting our Building Services Engineers and Sustainability Specialists.
You will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge of the various environmental systems for buildings, undertake assessments, provide sustainability advice, and visit sites to see work being undertaken—all whilst working towards professional membership.
The IES-VE tool is central to the role, and as such, experience using this integrated analysis tool is desirable. An understanding of Part L / Section 6 assessments, climate-based daylighting analysis, operational energy calculation using TM54, decarbonisation studies, and sustainability rating tools (such as BREEAM and NABERS will also be beneficial.
Candidates should possess:
- BSc/MSc or BEng / MEng in a subject related to the Built Environment or Engineering.
- 2+ years knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly relating to heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort and natural ventilation.
- Experience working with IES-VE software
- • Low Carbon Energy Assessor accreditation for Non-domestic Buildings using the IES VE software
- Excellent communication skills with a positive and flexible attitude
